Currently I am the WTMS Reading Interventionist also specializing in Dyslexia. I just began my journey as a Comanche in late November 2019 and am very excited to be a part of the Tribe.
Before I started teaching primary students my journey began at a community college in NM called CNM. There I was a Fitness Technician and taught adults and college students. When I decided to further my education I was a Administrative Assistant for the IT department at NMHU while working on my teaching degrees. When I completed my studies I became a Primary teacher at a very small school district in rural NM and taught 2nd through 6th grades as well as PE k-12, and Reading Intervention during my years at Mosquero Municipal School. In more recent years I was a Special Education teacher for Pecos Connections Academy and taught virtually much like the journey we are embarking on today.
I am married to Jody Hazen and have three wonderful children. We have 4 cowdogs, 3 cats, a pet goat, well over a dozen good cow horses, and lots of cattle.
I am a Ranch Momma that enjoys riding horses, working cattle, branding, doctoring, feeding, calving, and caring for cattle and livestock. I enjoy cooking and providing hospitality to any and all whom enter my home. I spend as much time outdoors as possible fishing, hunting, and enjoying the countryside wherever we go.
