I graduated from Phillips high School in 1980 and went on from there to get my Associates degree at Frank Phillips College. In 2001, I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
I have been teaching at West Texas Middle School since the 2014-2015 school year and am currently in my 6th year here. I have enjoyed several different assignments here including Resource Reading, English, and Math for 6th – 8th grade students and am currently also teaching 6th grade Reading in the general education setting.
After obtaining my bachelors degree, I began my teaching career at Pampa High School as a 9th grade English teacher. In order to teach at the same school my children attended, I moved from Pampa to White Deer High School where I taught Special Education for three years as well as 12th grade English, and Reading Remediation classes. From there, I went on to teach at Borger High School for eight years as a Special Education and Reading Remediation teacher before settling in here at West Texas Middle School.
